News Reporters — HVE & FVE News Desks
Projects: the news desks of Haitian Vibes Entertainment and Filipino Vibes Entertainment — streaming networks with news and News Magazine shows. Our mission is simple: give our communities a voice to the world. Most of what we cover is life — community, culture, music, faith, sport, and everyday people doing remarkable things.
The work
- Find and report stories from your own community — on video, audio, or in writing
- Interview everyday people and local voices with respect
- Send your report to the news desk; the desk checks every story before anything airs
- Work in Kreyòl, French, or English (Haiti desk) — English or Tagalog (Philippines desk)
Ground rules — please read these carefully
Your safety comes before any story.
· You choose what you cover. Reporting is voluntary — you pick your stories and your places.
· You are never asked to go toward danger, unrest, or disaster. If a story starts to feel unsafe, you stop and walk away. That is always the right call, and no one here will ever question it.
· Your name and location are protected. We never publish your exact location, and you may report under a desk name if you prefer.
· Entertainment and community news are the heart of this work. You do not need to chase hard news to matter here.
Who this fits
- People who know their community and love telling its stories
- A phone that records video is enough to start — clear sound matters more than a fancy camera
- Honesty: report what you saw, say what you don't know, never invent
The arrangement — honestly
Reporters start as contributors. Pay: to be discussed — any paid assignment, rate, and schedule is agreed honestly in writing with the desk before the work begins. Nothing is promised beyond what is written down together.
What to send
A link to one sample — a video report, a recorded story, or a piece of writing. It does not need to be professional. It needs to be yours, and it needs to be true.
