Character Designer / Creator
Project: AMMG is forming character creation teams for our commercial ads, short films, long films, and series. You create the faces our audiences will know — original characters who can carry a 15-second ad today and a whole series tomorrow, on Celebrity Status, Haitian Vibes Entertainment, and Filipino Vibes Entertainment.
The work
- Design original characters from a brief: heroes, hosts, families, villains — people an audience remembers
- Build character sheets: front, side, and back views, expressions, outfits, and the details that make a character themselves
- Develop the look — face, hair, wardrobe, colors — and write it down clearly enough for the whole team to follow
- Keep characters consistent across scenes, episodes, and productions — the same person in shot 1 and shot 100
- For AI productions: build the reference packs and guides that keep AI generations on-model
- Design characters that are original — not copies of existing characters, celebrities, or other people's work
Skills you need
- Character design in Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, or a similar tool — strong drawing of faces and bodies
- Expression and costume design — a character reads clearly at a glance
- Consistency craft: model sheets, turnarounds, and style guides others can follow
- For AI work: reference-driven generation (LoRA training, reference images, or similar) is a strong plus
Nice to have: Live2D or 3D character experience, animation production, or characters you created who already live in a published series or comic.
The arrangement — honestly
Freelance contract, remote. Pay: to be discussed. Your rate, the payment method, and the schedule are agreed in writing with us before any paid project starts. We never ask for unpaid production work. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to one small trial task (1–2 hours) so we can see your craft fairly — trial work is never used in a live product.
What to send
A link to your character work is required — character sheets, original characters, or productions your characters appear in (Behance, ArtStation, Instagram, or your own site are all fine). Applications without a work link cannot be reviewed.
